Art and Vine Entertainment LLC (AAVE) works to promote collectivism, enrich communities, and provide generative opportunities for Black people across the African diaspora through the creation and development of creative works, community engagement, and educational opportunities. 

Company Description

Art and Vine is a not-for-profit LLC based in the United States which aims to promote collectivism, belonging, and artistic liberation for Black people across the African diaspora. Art and Vine Entertainment (AAVE) acts as a refuge for intersectionality in the Black community - championing Black artists, educators, practitioners, and community members to share their intersectional stories, learn, and engage with art in an environment curated for them. This story-telling company focuses on the creation, development, and production of new and underserved creative works across stage, screen, and other media that originate from and highlight Black perspectives. In addition to creative projects, AAVE is committed to enriching Black communities through digital and in person community engagement and education efforts. Art and Vine endeavors to reimagine the way entertainment is received by audiences and cultivated by artists through socially conscious, community centered, empathetic artistic approaches. 

AV TV

Mission Statement

AV TV’s mission is to create, commission, develop, and produce creative works that highlight Black experiences, perspectives, and intersectionality. In pursuit of this goal, AV TV works to build community, emphasize growth, and champion stories and voices that have been missing from the entertainment industry. 

Program Description: AV TV

AV TV is Art and Vine Entertainment’s digital television station, hosted primarily on YouTube, focusing on the creation and production of diverse works for social media, film, and television. Media such as podcasts, short films, series, music videos, and more are created through AAVE’s Writers’ Room program.

Program Description: Writers’ Room

Art and Vine offers under-resourced artists and communities opportunities for growth, experimentation, community building, and career advancement through our AV TV Writers’ Room program. This program allows artists to pitch their projects and write professionally in exchange for having their pilot or pilot series (1-5 short episodes) produced at no cost to them! All that is required is 3 months of their time, in which meetings are often facilitated virtually. Writers are invited to attend filming, meet with directors, and attend the premiere party for their work. They receive a writing credit and a copy of the finished product for their portfolios.
